AIRGUN, the EchoMail version of the AirPower Airguns message
base, is now being distributed via the zone 1 backbone for
importation by other FidoNet sysops!
The purpose of the AIRGUN echo is to serve users across the
nation interested in the pleasures of shooting and collecting
precision adult airguns. Activities covered include collecting,
silhouette, field target shooting, small game hunting, pest control,
and many technical and legal issues. Precision airgunning represents
shooting pleasure on a human scale, without the excess power, noise,
smoke, and harsh recoil of firearms. It is now one of the fastest
growing of the shooting sports, with enthusiasts across the nation.
Rules for the AIRGUN echo:
Any post having anything to do with air rifles, air pistols,
the use of, shooting of, collecting of, is welcome! Questions,
statements, opinions, product reviews, news, requests for local
shoot info, match dates, places to shoot, clubs, and the like will
all be considered on-topic.
As with most other echoes, flaming and personal attacks will
not be allowed and you will be directed to take such to netmail
with the parties involved.
If a situation arises where it becomes necessary to comment on a message's
format or content, please leave that to the moderator. Things we have seen
discussed in other echos include excessive quoting, spelling errors,
indentation of the left margin, problems with the origin line, etc. You will
not see these things discussed openly; they are handled via netmail to the
appropriate sysop, when necessary. It is a violation of the echo rules to
remind another participant that they are in violation of the echo rules. Leave
it to the moderator.
Sysop: as this echo is added to your system, you are asked to leave a message
in the echo indicating you're now carrying it, so that we may get some idea
of where the echo is going.
